Poggio al Vento is Col d’Orcia’s single‑vineyard Brunello Riserva from the wind‑exposed Sant’Angelo in Colle site — a 100% Sangiovese selection made only in top vintages, traditionally matured for many years in large oak (and sometimes barriques) before release. It’s known for powerful yet refined tannins, concentrated dark cherry and leather-spice notes driven by sandy, limestone soils at about 350 m elevation, and for the long‑ageing, old‑school structure that rewards extended cellaring.
