About Chateauneuf-du-Pape Deus Ex Machina

Clos Saint-Jean’s Châteauneuf-du-Pape Deus Ex Machina is the domaine’s most powerful and structured cuvée, a low‑yield blend of old-vine Grenache and Mourvèdre grown on the galet-strewn red clays of La Crau and neighboring parcels. Shaped since 2003 by the late consultant Philippe Cambie, it is a modern, opulent style of Châteauneuf, typically very full-bodied and dense yet polished, with intense dark fruit, garrigue and spice framed by abundant but refined tannins and remarkable length.
