About Chateauneuf-du-Pape

Clos du Mont-Olivet’s Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape is a classic, old‑vine southern Rhône blend—Grenache-led with Syrah and Mourvèdre (and traditional varieties in reserve cuvées)—that favors elegant, terroir‑driven expression from a patchwork of sandy, clay and galet sites; vinified with indigenous yeasts and restrained élevage in foudres, concrete and older barrels, it shows bright red fruit, garrigue and spice with silky tannins and a perfume-led, slightly Burgundian finesse rather than overtly massive power.
