Chateau Saint-Pierre 2021 Vintage Overview

2021 OVERVIEW

Dark-fruited and quietly powerful, Chateau Saint-Pierre 2021 layers cassis, black cherry and blueberry with notes of graphite, cigar box, mint and a touch of dark chocolate. The medium-bodied palate is juicy yet refined, with fine, polished tannins giving a firm but elegant frame and a long, cool, mineral-tinged finish that overdelivers for this challenging vintage. Still a little brooding today, it has the depth and structure to evolve beautifully in bottle.

About Chateau Saint-Pierre

Château Saint-Pierre is the small but pedigreed 4ème Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Julien, a 17-hectare, Cabernet-Sauvignon–dominant vineyard on deep Günzian gravel that yields intensely structured yet refined left-bank Bordeaux. Reunified and revived by the Martin/Triaud family, the wine is known for its pure dark fruit, gravelly minerality, and firm but polished tannins, offering a classically styled, ageworthy expression of the Saint-Julien terroir.
