Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

Dark, pure and beautifully composed, Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 2020 layers ripe cassis, black cherry and blueberry fruit with hints of dark chocolate, violets and subtle spice. The palate is sleek yet powerful, with very fine, polished tannins and a cool, mineral edge that keeps this rich Pauillac precise and long on the finish. A dazzling, ultra-classic Comtesse built more for grace than sheer muscle, and clearly one of the stars of the vintage.

About Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande

Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is a famed Pauillac Second Growth whose grand vin blends predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, crafted from gravel-over-clay parcels straddling the border of Pauillac and Saint-Julien. Known for uniting Pauillac’s classic cedar, graphite and blackcurrant profile with an unusually sensual, polished texture, it produces full-bodied yet refined wines capable of graceful, decades-long aging.
