Chateau Mouton Rothschild 2022 Vintage Overview

2022 OVERVIEW

Power from the very first glance, this 2022 Chateau Mouton Rothschild drives deep dark cassis and black plum into a frame of cool graphite, cigar leaf and crushed stone, all wrapped in a cloak of dense but velvety tannin. The wine feels muscular yet finely tailored, with intense, layered fruit and floral notes that build into a finish that just keeps echoing. A monumental, clearly great Mouton that will reward serious patience.

About Chateau Mouton Rothschild

Château Mouton Rothschild is the iconic grand vin of this Premier Grand Cru Classé Pauillac estate, sourced from the choicest Cabernet Sauvignon–dominated parcels on the deep gravel “Plateau de Mouton.” Known for its opulent yet structured style, it typically marries dense blackcurrant and blackberry fruit with cedar, graphite, tobacco and exotic spice, built for decades of graceful aging. Equally famous for its annually commissioned artist labels, it stands as one of Bordeaux’s most prestigious and collectible wines.
