Aile d'Argent Blanc 2023 Vintage Overview

2023 OVERVIEW

Silky and concentrated, the 2023 Château Mouton Rothschild Aile d'Argent Blanc layers ripe nectarine, tangerine zest and spiced pear over a cool core of citrus, herbs and stone. The higher share of Sémillon gives real breadth and waxy texture, yet the wine stays sharply defined by saline, limestone-driven minerality and vivid acidity, finishing long, dry and mouthwatering rather than overtly exotic or oaky.

About Aile d'Argent Blanc

Aile d'Argent Blanc is Château Mouton Rothschild’s small‑production white from their Médoc vineyards — a distinctive Bordeaux blanc planted on sandy, gravelly soils and typically blended from Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon (with small portions of Sauvignon Gris and Muscadelle). Rich and finely textured, it combines bright citrus and white‑fruit aromatics with saline/mineral lift and a touch of oak‑derived creaminess from significant new‑barrel ageing, making it more structured and ageworthy than most Médoc whites.
