Chateau Malartic-Lagraviere 2022 Vintage Overview

2022 OVERVIEW

Powerfully built yet finely detailed, the 2022 Château Malartic-Lagravière layers deep blackcurrant, dark cherry and plum fruit with hints of violet, spice and cocoa over a core of cool, graphite-like minerality. Dense, chalk-tinged tannins and vibrant freshness give a firm, serious frame to the wine today, but there is a polished gloss to the fruit and a long, savoury, slightly smoky finish that signals major class and aging potential in this particularly successful, concentrated vintage.

The red is typically a Cabernet Sauvignon–Merlot–based blend with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, offering structured, complex, mineral-inflected Bordeaux character, while the Sauvignon Blanc–Sémillon white is known for its aromatic intensity, freshness, and refined texture.
