Chateau Les Carmes Haut Brion 2024 Vintage Overview

2024 OVERVIEW

Blue and black fruits glide over a fine-boned frame in the 2024 Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion, with layers of mulberry, dark cherry, violet, gentle spice and a touch of graphite giving it real personality. The palate feels both juicy and precise, medium to full in body with beautifully polished, almost weightless tannins and a cool, mouthwatering finish that shows the high Cabernet Franc and whole-cluster character without any harshness. This is a deeply characterful Pessac that manages density and grace in equal measure and should age with real class.

About Chateau Les Carmes Haut Brion

Château Les Carmes Haut‑Brion is the Cabernet Franc–driven grand vin of this small, enclosed urban estate in Pessac‑Léognan, crafted from old vines on gravel and clay‑limestone soils just outside central Bordeaux. Distinguished by its high whole‑bunch fermentations, use of amphorae alongside barrels and foudres, and a signature mix of silky power with saline, mineral freshness, it has become one of the Left Bank’s most distinctive and sought‑after contemporary Bordeaux reds.
