2019 Pro Rating
From the first sniff this 2019 Les Fiefs de Lagrange feels generous and inviting, with ripe blackcurrant and blackberry layered over hints of cherry, cedar and gentle spice, all wrapped in a smooth, medium-bodied frame. The tannins are fine and neatly tailored, giving structure without hardness and letting the juicy, floral fruit glide through to a long, comforting finish that captures the charm of Saint-Julien in a very approachable style.

Les Fiefs de Lagrange is the second wine of Château Lagrange, a 3ème Grand Cru Classé estate in Saint-Julien, crafted from roughly 30-year-old vines rooted in gravel and clay-limestone soils. Typically Cabernet Sauvignon–Merlot with a notable share of Petit Verdot, it mirrors the château’s elegant, structured Médoc style in a more approachable, early-drinking form, showing supple tannins, red and black fruit, and good ageing potential at a friendlier price than the grand vin.
