2022 Pro Rating
Supple yet firmly structured, 2022 Château Gazin opens with vivid blackberries and dark cherries layered with cocoa, licared spice and a hint of cedar. The palate is medium to full in weight, generous in ripe fruit and depth, with polished, sweet-edged tannins that frame a long, mouthcoating and energetic finish. This is one of the estate’s more complete recent vintages, balancing richness and freshness with real poise.

Château Gazin is the grand vin of a historic, family-owned Pomerol estate, crafted predominantly from Merlot with small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grown in a single 26-hectare block of Günzian gravel over blue and green clay, adjacent to Petrus. Known for its supple, Merlot-driven richness, refined structure and capacity to age, the wine expresses the iron-tinged clay-gravel plateau of eastern Pomerol with polished, tobacco-and-vanilla-tinged profiles that gain complexity over 10–20 years in bottle.
