Petit-Figeac 2019 Vintage Overview

2019 OVERVIEW

Juicy blackberries, black cherry and a gentle leafy lift glide through Petit-Figeac 2019, wrapped in a smooth, creamy texture and fine, sweet-edged tannins that echo its big sibling at Château Figeac. The Cabernet-led character brings a cool graphite and subtle tobacco note, while the Merlot fills out the mid-palate, giving a vibrant, polished Saint-Émilion that’s already charming but will gain complexity with a few more years in bottle.

About Petit-Figeac

Petit-Figeac is the refined second wine of Château Figeac in Saint-Émilion, crafted exclusively from the estate’s own gravelly terroir and named since 2012 after a historic parcel at the heart of the property. Typically a Cabernet-influenced Right Bank blend with a generous share of Merlot, it is made to the same exacting standards as the Grand Vin but in a lighter, more approachable style that captures Figeac’s hallmark freshness, fine-grained tannins, and aromatic complexity at an earlier stage of its life.
