Chateau Clarke 2019 Vintage Overview

2019 OVERVIEW

Dark, layered fruit leads the way in Chateau Clarke 2019, with concentrated blackberry and cassis framed by firm but well-shaped tannins and a vibrant line of acidity. The wine feels powerful yet poised, showing plenty of stuffing and structure that promises more nuance as it relaxes in bottle.

About Chateau Clarke

Château Clarke is the flagship Listrac‑Médoc estate of the Edmond de Rothschild family, known for its Merlot‑dominant red blends (roughly 70% Merlot / 30% Cabernet Sauvignon) grown on clay‑limestone soils that give the wines a plush, right‑bank freshness within Médoc structure. The domaine, fully replanted and modernized since Baron Edmond de Rothschild’s 1973 acquisition (with long‑term consulting input from eminent oenologists), also produces the aromatic white cuvée Le Merle Blanc and emphasizes careful oak ageing and sustainable practices.
