Les Empreintes Extra Brut 2018 Vintage Overview

2018 OVERVIEW

Laherte Frères Les Empreintes Extra Brut 2018 is a concentrated, vinous Champagne, weaving ripe pear and orange zest with gentle spice and a touch of creamy, pastry-like richness. The equal-parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir give both breadth and grip, with a firm, tangy line of acidity and a faint, appetizing bitterness on the long, dry finish that keeps this generous vintage feeling sculpted and precise.

About Les Empreintes Extra Brut

Les Empreintes Extra Brut from Laherte Frères is a parcel-driven, vintage Champagne (roughly 50% Chardonnay — including a portion of Chardonnay muscaté — and 50% Pinot Noir) grown on the chalky and clay–chalk plots of Chavot (Les Chemins d’Épernay and Les Rouges Maisons). Fermented largely in used barrels with no malolactic conversion and bottle‑aged on the lees, it’s made Extra Brut (very low dosage) to showcase crystalline acidity, fine bead and a mineral, saline tension that frames ripe yellow‑fruit and subtle spice from barrel élevage.
