Structured yet intensely seductive, Ceretto’s 2019 Barolo Brunate layers vivid red and dark berries with violet, tobacco, cocoa and a stony, chalk-like minerality, all carried on a taut, energetic frame. The tannins are fine but powerful and tightly woven, giving a long, focused and saline finish that shows both the cru’s muscle and the vintage’s precision. This is a serious, characterful Brunate that already hints at greatness but clearly has more to reveal with time in bottle.
