Cattleya Wines The Initiation Syrah 2022 is a deeply colored, powerful Santa Lucia Highlands Syrah that layers ripe blackberry and blackcurrant fruit with violet, dark spice and a subtle smoky-savory edge. The palate is full-bodied yet poised, with fine, assertive tannins and lively acidity giving shape and lift to the dense core of fruit. Long and mineral-tinged on the finish, it shows impressive polish now but is clearly built for extended cellaring.
