Zapata Adrianna Vineyard Fortuna Terrae Malbec 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

Dark berry and plum fruit pulse through Catena Zapata Adrianna Vineyard Fortuna Terrae Malbec 2020, framed by cool floral tones, spice and a distinct chalky grip that speaks clearly of its high-altitude origin. Medium-bodied yet intense, it’s sleek, finely woven and still youthful, with silken tannins and a long, persistent finish that promises even greater complexity with a few more years in bottle.

About Zapata Adrianna Vineyard Fortuna Terrae Malbec

Fortuna Terrae is a single‑parcel Malbec from Catena Zapata’s Adrianna Vineyard in Gualtallary (Tupungato, Uco Valley), grown on deep alluvial loam with limestone‑covered white stones at about 1,366 m altitude. The wine is prized for its aromatic, floral lift and spicy black‑fruit character, high natural acidity and chalky mineral texture from the high‑altitude terroir, with careful whole‑cluster cold maceration and aging in large French foudres and older oak to preserve elegance and ageability.
