Lifted red cherry, cranberry and wild strawberry leap from the glass, layered with gentle floral notes and a whisper of smoky earth, making the 2024 Bodega Chacra Barda Pinot Noir feel both vivid and refined. On the palate it glides with silky texture and crunchy red fruit, kept mouthwatering by bright, clean acidity and finishing with impressive poise for a so-called entry wine.
Grilled salmon with herbes de Provence; Roast chicken with thyme and garlic; Mushroom and leek tart
Barda is Bodega Chacra’s approachable, entry-level Pinot Noir from its Río Negro/Patagonia vineyards, made from younger, ungrafted massal-selection vines on sandy, alluvial soils. Bright and food-friendly, it’s fermented on native yeasts with part-aged concrete and part French oak (small percentage new), showing vibrant red-fruit (cranberry/strawberry), a salty/mineral edge and subtle sandalwood tannins, designed to be enjoyed young and fresh with moderate alcohol (around 12–13%).
