Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2015 Vintage Overview

2015 OVERVIEW

Deep, glowing and quietly powerful, this 2015 Bertani Amarone della Valpolicella Classico layers dried cherry and currant, cocoa, leather and gentle wood spice over a core of concentrated red and black fruit. The palate is surprisingly lifted and graceful for Amarone, carried by vivid acidity, fine-grained structure and a savory, slightly salty finish that promises even greater nuance with time in bottle. A benchmark, combining richness with remarkable poise and length.

About Amarone della Valpolicella Classico

Bertani’s Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is a benchmark, traditionally styled Amarone from the Tenuta Novare estate in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica zone, crafted primarily from Corvina Veronese with Rondinella. Long air-drying of the grapes and seven years’ aging in large Slavonian oak casks yield a dry, powerful yet remarkably elegant wine, noted for its intense red color, complex aromas of plum, cherry and spice, and a poised balance of richness and acidity that supports exceptional longevity.
