Benoit Moreau’s 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Grandes Ruchottes marries piercing citrus and pear fruit with layers of white flowers, cool green notes and a touch of waxy richness, all wrapped around a powerful mineral spine. The palate is tightly coiled yet already strikingly intense, with superb concentration, driving acidity and a long, saline, lightly structured finish that promises impressive evolution in bottle.
