Palazzo della Torre 2021 Vintage Overview

2021 OVERVIEW

Richly flavored yet kept in check, Allegrini Palazzo della Torre 2021 layers dark cherry and brambly blackberry fruit with baking spice, cocoa and a touch of sweet tobacco from its appassimento component. The palate is velvety and medium-full, with generous, ripe fruit framed by fresh acidity and polished tannins, making it feel modern and plush without losing lift on the finish.

About Palazzo della Torre

Palazzo della Torre is Allegrini’s signature Veronese IGT — a Corvina/Corvinone/Rondinella-based red made by blending roughly 70% fresh-fermented grapes with about 30% gently dried (appassimento) fruit, then ageing in French barriques (typically ~15 months). The style is rich and polished yet approachable — ripe cherry and plum fruit framed by spicy, balsamic and oak-derived notes of chocolate, coffee and licorice, with lively acidity and velvety tannins often described as a “baby Amarone.”
