About Cornas Vieilles Vignes

Alain Voge’s Cornas Vieilles Vignes is a single-varietal Syrah from 60‑year‑plus, old‑vine parcels planted on Cornas’s decomposed granite (“gores”), farmed organically/biodynamically and vinified with partial whole‑bunchs and extended maceration. The wine shows the appellation’s hallmark concentrated dark‑berry and black‑cherry fruit framed by violet and pepper notes, smoky/meaty underbrush and precise, grainy tannins from careful oak aging, making it powerful yet elegant and very ageworthy.
