Yjar is a cult single-vineyard Rioja created by influential winemaker Telmo Rodríguez at his family’s historic Remelluri estate in Labastida, Rioja Alavesa. The property, originally part of a medieval monastery and restored by Telmo’s father Jaime Rodríguez in the late 1960s, provides the backdrop for this ambitious project, whose inaugural vintage was 2017 and which became the first Rioja wine to be released through the Place de Bordeaux.
