Vieux Chateau Certan

Vieux Château Certan is one of Pomerol’s historic grand estates, with roots traced back to the early 16th century when the Demay family, of Scottish origin, established the domain then known as “Sertan.” It appears on Belleyme’s 1785 map, marking it as one of the oldest known properties in the appellation, and the present chartreuse-style château was built in the mid-19th century.
