Tenuta Luce is an ambitious estate in the southwest of Montalcino, Tuscany, created in the early 1990s as a joint venture between Vittorio Frescobaldi and Napa Valley pioneer Robert Mondavi. Conceived to marry Sangiovese’s classical Tuscan elegance with the plushness of Merlot, the project produced its first vintage of Luce in 1993 and quickly became one of the emblematic “Super Tuscan” wines of the region.
