Quinta do Vesuvio

Quinta do Vesuvio is one of the Douro Valley’s emblematic estates, dramatically sited in the remote Douro Superior on the north bank of the river. Vines were first planted here in 1823 under António Bernardo Ferreira, and the imposing winery with its granite lagares was completed in 1827.
