MacDonald Vineyards is a tiny, sought-after Cabernet Sauvignon producer farming 15 acres on the fabled Oakville bench in Napa Valley, within the original To Kalon vineyard area. The land has been in the family for generations, with the MacDonalds’ grandparents long supplying Cabernet to Robert Mondavi Winery on a handshake deal; their fruit formed a core component of Mondavi Reserve and early Opus One bottlings.
