Tenuta Il Poggione is one of the historic estates of Montalcino, with roots dating back to the late 1800s when Florentine landowner Lavinio Franceschi, captivated by the landscape and local stories from a shepherd, bought land around Sant’Angelo in Colle and established the farm.
