Il Marroneto

Il Marroneto is one of Montalcino’s most revered traditional Brunello estates, founded in 1974 by lawyer Giuseppe Mori on the cool, north-facing slopes near the Madonna delle Grazie church. The winery occupies a medieval building dating back to 1246 that once served for drying chestnuts—“marroni” in Tuscan dialect—from which the estate takes its name.
