Giacomo Conterno

Giacomo Conterno is one of the benchmark names of traditional Barolo. The estate’s story begins in the early 1900s, when Giovanni Conterno ran a tavern in San Giuseppe near Monforte d’Alba and began bottling Barolo from purchased grapes—unusual at a time when most wine was sold in cask or demijohn.
