Eisele Vineyard

Eisele Vineyard, in Calistoga at the northern end of Napa Valley, is one of the region’s great historic sites. First planted in the 1880s (originally to Zinfandel and Riesling), it gained fame for Cabernet Sauvignon after vines were planted in 1964 and the fruit went into legendary vineyard-designate bottlings such as Ridge’s 1971 and Joseph Phelps’ wines from 1975–1991.
