Croft is one of the oldest Port producers in Portugal, with documented activity dating back to 1588, making it the longest‑established Port house still in operation. Originating as an English merchant firm trading from the Douro through Vila Nova de Gaia, it rose to prominence under the Croft family, who helped shape the early Port trade and gave the company its enduring name.
