Comando G is one of Spain’s most influential new-wave Garnacha producers, founded in 2008 by friends and winemakers Daniel Gómez Jiménez‑Landi and Fernando García in the rugged Sierra de Gredos, west of Madrid. Drawn to almost-forgotten, high-altitude vineyards scattered across Cebreros, Vinos de Madrid and Méntrida, they focused on very old bush‑trained Garnacha planted on poor granitic and slate-derived soils at 900–1,200 meters.
