Château Talbot is a Fourth Growth (Quatrième Grand Cru Classé) estate in the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux, with roots that trace back to the 15th century and the English commander John Talbot, Earl of Shrewsbury, from whom it takes its name. After centuries in the hands of the Marquis d’Aux family, the estate was purchased in 1918 by négociant Désiré Cordier and has remained in the Cordier-Bignon family ever since, now overseen by Nancy Bignon-Cordier and her husband Jean-Paul Bignon.
