Château Phélan Ségur is a leading estate of Saint-Estèphe on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, its Palladian-style château overlooking the Gironde estuary since the early 19th century. The property was pieced together by Irish wine merchant Bernard O’Phelan, who bought Clos de Garamey in 1805 and Ségur de Cabanac in 1810; his son Frank Phelan, longtime mayor of Saint-Estèphe, developed the estate, which took the name Phélan Ségur in the early 20th century.
