Château Pédesclaux is a Fifth Growth estate in Pauillac, created in 1810 by Bordeaux wine broker Pierre Urbain Pédesclaux and included in the 1855 classification less than half a century later. After passing through several families, it was bought in 2009 by Jacky and Françoise Lorenzetti, who nearly doubled the vineyard holdings and commissioned architect Jean‑Michel Wilmotte to design a striking, glass‑and‑stone gravity‑flow winery that visually signals the estate’s renewal.
