Chateau Palmer

Château Palmer is one of Bordeaux’s most celebrated estates, a Third Growth of the 1855 classification that routinely punches at First Growth level in the Margaux appellation. The property traces its modern history to 1814, when British officer Charles Palmer bought the Domaine de Gascq and gave it his name. After a period of financial turmoil and changing ownership, the estate was revitalized by the Bordeaux merchant families Sichel and Mähler-Besse, who took control in 1938 and still own it today.
