Chateau Montelena

Chateau Montelena is one of Napa Valley’s most storied estates, founded in 1882 by San Francisco entrepreneur Alfred Tubbs at the base of Mount St. Helena in Calistoga. The stone château, completed in 1888, grew to become one of the valley’s larger wineries before Prohibition halted winemaking and the property shifted to grape-growing and other uses.
