Château d’Armailhac is a Pauillac Grand Cru Classé, ranked Cinquième Cru in the 1855 classification and owned by the Mouton Rothschild branch of the Rothschild family since 1933. The estate’s origins go back to the Armailhacq family, documented as landowners in Pauillac in the 17th century, with the vineyard first recorded as planted to vines around 1750 under the name Mouton d’Armailhacq.
