Château Cantenac Brown is a historic Margaux estate in the Médoc with roots back to 1754, when Jacques Boyd assembled the original vineyards that later evolved into both Boyd-Cantenac and Cantenac Brown. In 1806 the property was acquired by John-Lewis Brown, a Frenchman of Scottish origin, who gave the château its name and its striking Tudor-style mansion, an architectural rarity in Bordeaux that still defines the estate’s identity.
