Château Calon-Ségur is a historic Third Growth estate in Saint-Estèphe and the northernmost of the Médoc’s classified growths. The property’s origins go back many centuries, but its reputation was cemented in the 18th century under Nicolas-Alexandre, marquis de Ségur, who also owned first-growths Lafite and Latour yet famously declared that his heart belonged to Calon—an enduring motto symbolised by the heart on the label.
