Burlotto

Comm. G.B. Burlotto is a historic Barolo estate based in Verduno, in the northern part of the Barolo zone, founded in 1850 by Giovan Battista Burlotto. Early on, the estate distinguished itself by bottling Barolo at a time when wine was typically sold in cask or demijohn, and its reputation grew to the point that Burlotto became an official supplier to the Royal House of Savoy and even to late‑19th‑century polar expeditions.
